In 2024, HISCANT-MA becomes Sciences de l'Antiquité et du Moyen Âge (SAMA).
UR 1132 is a multidisciplinary laboratory regrouping archaeologists, epigraphists, historians, art and legal historians, linguists, literary scholars and philologists of Antiquity and the Middle Ages, from the first millennium BC to the 16th century. It is composed of fifty members and more than twenty PhD students and is based on two platforms: the Centre Édouard Will (CEW), a research library on Antiquity, and the Pôle Archéologique Universitaire (PAU), a technical and logistical support structure.
