In view of the increase populations as well as the contamination of agrosystems by micropollutants and high dependence of EU countries for imported aquatic products, the research of URAFPA (Unit Research Animal and Functionality of Animal Products) targets the major challenges faced by society today that involve food safety, particularly that related to animal production and the quality of animal-derived products.

To address these issues, our research focuses on:

1. the development of fish farming by domestication of new species and diversification of production, and

2. the assurance of the quality and safety of animal-derived food products.
