Transformer for an N-port isolated bidirectional DC-DC converter

Résumé

In this paper, an analysis of two-phase interleaved boost converter working in both CCM and DCM is presented. This kind of DC-DC converters is usually used as a bridge to increase the output voltage level to a suitable one compared to the input voltage like fuel cell converter. Interleaving technique can be used to reduce current ripples of DC-DC converter and to increase input current capability. The analytic solutions of the input ripple current of each cell and whole the cells are detailed. Moreover, the output characteristics of the converter corresponding to load are given. Different cases of input current waveforms are provided experimentally. The experimental results confirm the validity of the study.
