Les certificats de santé de l'enfant : Intérêt et utilisation dans la prise en charge individuelle de l'enfant et en santé publique

Abstract : INTRODUCTION : Among the 20 child obligatory health exams, three ; on 8th day, 9th and 24th months ; give opportunity to draw a health attestation up. These attestations have two aims : on one hand an individual care and, on the other hand, an epidemiological study of children health between 0 and 2 years old. PURPOSE AND METHOD : this work intends to describe and analyse the waythat doctors fill these attestations in ; and to assess the situation on collected information and their local and national exploitation. RESULTS : doctors need standard attestations to lead their activities and would like more reports about results on different information they collect and communicate to authorities. We can notice a real delay in studying these databases. Moreover many doctors do notsend back 9th and 24th months attestations. CONCLUSION : health attestations constitute an important epidemiological database which is not used enough. In order to optimize information that health attestation allow to collect it would be better to improve and to standardize examination methods.
