Inventaire et valorisation de la biodiversité végétale le long des sentiers en Balagne (Haute-Corse)

Abstract : Paths through the natural environment, trails are part of a territory history and essential components of the landscape. They allow to get away while discovering the natural and built heritage. Over the years, they have become asset valuation tools for the eco-tourism development and territory planning policy. In this context, the National Botanical Conservatory of Corsica (CBNC) was involved in a research program, called SLide. This program aims to answer the problematic “What littoral paths for tomorrow?”, in order to study the evolution of trails in the Mediterranean area. Thus, 4 littoral paths (Spano, Corbara, Pigna-Varcale, Lozari and La Revellata) were studied and inventoried in Balagne (Corsica). The trails allow to observe and to discover remarkable, protected and invasive species, but mostly common species. During this study, communication media have been created in order to valorize these inventories : a brochure on the flora found along the Memories Trail to Lama, and a flora and vegetation guide about the flora of the littoral trails of Balagne. These supports target the general audience. They aim to raise awareness of the landscape and biodiversity around us.
