Par ailleurs, d'autres produits bionettoyants pourront être évalués à l'aide de ce mode opératoire, comme par exemple ceux utilisés pour le bionettoyage des sols du laboratoire, ce dernier générant potentiellement de grandes quantités de COV. Les produits de bionettoyage sont appliqués parfois quotidiennement au laboratoire et des résidus consécutifs au nettoyage peuvent persister dans les étuves, paillasses ou autres surfaces sur lesquelles ces produits sont utilisés. Il convient de sécuriser leur emploi par une connaissance parfaite d'un caractère repro-toxique ou non de ces produits, notamment lié à un dégagement de Composés Organiques Volatiles (COV). L'étude BIONETTOX-FIV met en évidence une absence d'impact spermatique fonctionnel des produits Surfa'safe® et Oosafe®. Il faut toutefois rester prudent dans cette conclusion car rien ne prouve ici une innocuité complète d'utilisation de ces produits bionettoyants. Si ces tests spermatiques ne sont pas suffisamment sensibles, il pourrait être intéressant de réaliser en parallèle une étude de reprotoxicité sur embryons murins, de nombreux tests de repro-toxicité existent pour vérifier l'absence d'impact négatif de tous les éléments en contact avec les embryons, spermatozoïdes ou ovocytes, et ceci avant leur utilisation en routine
