Démarche de co-conception centrée utilisateur des systèmes d'assistance : la place de l'écosystème

Abstract : The objective of this article is to propose a user centered design approach involving not only the disabled person, but also his/her ecosystem for the design of assistive systems. Indeed, when the participation of the disabled person (motor, cognitive, sensory impairment) is limited for communication or/and cognitive disorders, the experimental field highlights the need to involve the family, professional and human environment. One approach is to integrate this ecosystem into the user centered design process. In this article, we present and discuss our proposal on the role of the stakeholders in this ecosystem. We illustrate it on two application design case studies: 1) Tetrax, an assistive technology for quadriplegic people; 2) CECI for people with motor impairment and language disorders. The document concludes with a synthesis on how the different ecosystem actors are taken into account in the design process.
