Impact des températures sur la capacité de bactéries bénéfiques isolées de la phyllosphère à protéger le blé contre l’oïdium (Blumeria graminis f.sp. tritici).

Abstract : The protection of wheat against fungal diseases is managed by the use of fungicides, some of which pose environmental problems, thus requiring the development of alternative solutions compatible with sustainable agriculture. The filtrates of 3 strains of Bacillus (B. velezensis S6, B. amyloliquefaciens I3 and Paenibacillus polymyxa M2) are tested to protect wheat against powdery mildew, a fungal disease caused by Blumeria graminis f.sp. tritici (Bgt). These bacteria can control the development of pathogens directly by antibiotic effect or indirectly through the induction of the plant's defense reactions. This study demonstrated that foliar applications of S6 and I3 filtrates reduced disease symptoms. The filtrates also showed antifungal activity, limiting the germination of Bgt spores in vitro. Finally, this work shows that the medium and the temperatures used for the multiplication of bacteria have an influence on the biological activity of the filtrates.
