Unified Switch Fault Detection for Cascaded Non-Isolated DC-DC Converters

Résumé

This paper proposes a new unified switch fault detection approach for two stages cascaded non-isolated DC-DC converters under synchronous control. The proposed unified fault detection method is compared with two separate fault detection algorithms, working in parallel for each converter. Thus, the unified algorithm is simpler in realization and is as efficient as the two parallel fault detection methods. Besides, it is more suitable for cascaded non-isolated DC-DC converters, whatever the converters circuits are.
