Savoirs et objets : découper, nommer, historiciser

Abstract : In the 37th issue of Questions de communication, Wolf Feuerhahn (CNRS, EHESS) presented a reflection on “The Researcher and the Discourse of its Objects”. He developed a statement about the knowledge designation by the actors, about the historiography they can elaborate, about the act of historicisation as such. Four researchers discuss his propositions. Fernando J. Devoto (University of Buenos Aires) does it notably on the basis of the influence of Bendetto Croce on the Argentinean cultural sphere and on his own practice. Jérôme Lamy (CNRS, University of Toulouse) insists on experience, on the impact of the gestures and bodies. Stéphane Zékian (CNRS, Université Lyon 2) shows how, unlike other sectors, the discourse of objects is a major source for the history of literature. As for Catherin König-Pralong (EHESS, CNRS), she requalifies the historicism defended by W. Feuerhahn into a “radical historicism”, which leads to questions about temporal positioning. The whole constitutes a capital of critical experience applicable to investigations in the various disciplines of the human and social sciences, including information and communication sciences.
