Mesure et détection des îlots de chaleur et de fraîcheur en milieu tempéré semi-continental : l'exemple du territoire de Metz Métropole.

Abstract : The study focuses on the measurement methods used for the observation and quantitative characterization of the urban heat island in the Metz metropolitean urban area in northeastern France. The first is spatial remote sensing to characterize daytime land surface temperatures in order to spatialize areas of high heat release and conversely, those characterized by a certain coolness. The second method consists in carrying out measurements of the air temperature from a network of 28 meteorological stations fixed at 3 m from the ground, allowing continuous measurements. This network is completed by the method of mobile measurements by urban transects carried out by bicycle in order to apprehend more finely the spatial variability of the air temperature. Finally, the fourth method is airborne measurements by drone to measure surface temperatures at fine scale. The results obtained are useful for decision-making. They can be used for instance as a support to make concrete the adaptation to the climate change for the general public and to ccompany it to the change in behavior and practice of the places in period of strong heat
