Études des traitements de délignification complémentaire des pâtes papetières à l'aide de systèmes enzymatiques : changements structuraux de la lignine résiduelle par action d'un extrait partiellement purifié de manganèse peroxydase de Phanerochaete chrysosporium

Abstract : The work in this thesis has enabled us to establish a global evaluation of the possibilities of using a partially purified enzym extract, like manganese peroxidase, for biological delignification and simultaneously demethylation of lignins,hardwood and softwood chemical and semi-chemical Kraft pulp. The non-marketing of these enzymes prompted us to choose the most active white-rot fungi among Phanerochaete chrysosporium, Phanerochaete sordida, Trametes versicolor studied and to define the optimal conditions of production. In this perspective, we examined the effects of differently known or potential supposed factors which were likely to interfere in the enzymatic production. Uncomplicated phenolic methoxylated compounds (2,6 dimethoxyphenol) or complex (extract lignin and residuallignins of several pulps) were treated in laboratory scale to prove that the MnP could have demethylated activity. This action seemed to improve later the pulp bleaching with the chemicals compounds used . In spite of the positives results, demethylation level is not higher than 35 percents for treated pulps. We studied the effects of Mn2+ content and incubation times on demethylation and the reactivity oftreated hardwood Kraft pulp during large scale oxygen bleaching. Lastly, we studied the stability of MnIII-malonate at various temperatures and we compared its actions with lignin hardwood Kraft pulp and enzymatic treatment.
