Gestion temps réel de la qualité d'une ligne d'embouteillage, apport de la méthode de maîtrise statistique des procédés

Abstract : The work presented in this report aims at improving quality in high rate bottling processes. After having proved' the necessary complementarity between the inspection and sorting of the manufactured products, on one side, and the control of the manufacturing process, on the other, we analyze the causes of the variability as well as the restraints generated by the high rates of production and the multi-post structures of the machines. We suggest to improve the quality of the fabrication applying the Statistical Process Control method (S.P.C.), of which we recall the processes. The study of the process makes it obvious that it is necessary to detect both slow and rapid quality variations, which leads us to realize a comparative study of the different existing control charts which we experiment on data taken from an industrial package line. Next, we define a utilization strategy, for those charts, which makes it possible to both diagnose the variations and react on the command as well as on the maintenance of the fabrication process. In view of the industrial constraints, we suggest the setting up of an automated system to implement the control of the process. The functional analysis of this system, carried out with the S.A.D.T. method, puts in a prominent position two feedback loops on the process, as well as the major importance of the interaction of the system with the factory services which intervene on the production line. This system makes it possible to increase the productivity and to reduce the production costs, it is well integrated into a Quality Assurance Program. A prototype has been made and set up with success on different industrial lines. It consists of a real time computer and an artificial vision sensor for the inspection and sorting of the bottles, a second computer performs the statistical processing and manages the operator interface.
