For, confirmed that between-sides variations were highly significant and greater than expected due to measurement error (p<0.0001) Kolmogorov-Smimov tests on signed (R-L) differences showed that trait asymmetries were normally distributed (p>0.05) and T-tests revealed that asymmetry means did not differ significantly from zero (p<0.05) These analyses clearly showed the absence of both directional asymmetry and anti-symmetry, and the occurrence of FA in each trait for each developmental stage.
