Étude analytique et numérique de problèmes oscillants en calcul des variations

Abstract : After a short exposition of the phase twinning in some crystals, the modelisation of this physical phenomenon leads to a variational problem od minimization of a potential energy with incompatible wells. This kind of problems often resists to analysis. A specific software is developed and presented, with its numerical results, which let appear multiple-scale oscillating structures, confirming direct observations at electronic microscope (tweed).
