Synthèse et étude d'additifs bifonctionnels extrême-pression et tensioactifs pour lubrifiants

Abstract : In the first part concerning synthesis, we have prepared a new family of extrême-pressure and emulfisier additives for rolling oil lubricants. The monosulfides have been prepared by classical methods. But, for the unsymetrical disulfides being more complicated compounds, we have proposed two new synthetical methods using sodium thiosulfate. In the second part, we have tested on a four ball machine and a coulter multisizer their EP and TA properties. The results show clearly that our hydroxy or polyethoxylated sulfides improve the emulsion's behaviour by increasing their load capacity and decreasing the particle size. More over, our compounds retain their good properties even when they are used in a low oil level (1%) emulsion. In the last part, to prove the particular behaviour of this new family of multipurpose additives, we have done surface analysis by SIMS-D, SIMS-S and MEB-EDS. These results in agreement with the tribological tests have led to a mechanism which could explain the good activities of our unsymmetrical
