. Objectifs, La précocité du primo-diagnostic d'hypertension (HTA) est importante pour sa prise en charge et prévenir ses conséquences. Cette étude examinait si l'hypertension non-diagnostiquée (ndHTA) différait entre les groupes d'âge 24-39, 40-59 et 60+ ans

. Méthode, 309 sujets avaient une hypertension traitée et/ou définie à la fois par les mesures casuelles et ambulatoires de pressions artérielles au-dessus des seuils (>140/90 et >130/80 mmHg, respectivement), et 73 sujets avaient une ndHTA. Les relations médecin généraliste/patient ont été aussi recueillies, Les données ont été analysées avec les modèles de régression logistique

. Résultats, Comparés aux sujets de 60+ ans, ceux de 40-59 et 24-39 ans avaient un odds ratio ajusté sur le sexe (OR) de 2,21, La fréquence de ndHTA était respectivement de 17,7, 24,6 et 50,0 % chez les sujets de 60+

, %) mais partiellement chez ceux de 24-39 ans (30 %). La perception de l'hypertension comme une maladie grave n'avait aucun rôle (<1 %). Le risque était majoré de 50 % en tenant compte des mesures casuelles de pressions artérielles (OR de 2,86 et 8,83), L'insatisfaction des conseils du MG sur les facteurs de risque cardiovasculaires et la nonadhérence aux prescriptions expliquaient peu le risque chez les sujets de 40-59 ans

, Le primo-diagnostic d'HTA doit être amélioré surtout chez les plus jeunes. Son absence est expliquée partiellement par l'insatisfaction des conseils du médecin généraliste et la non-adhérence aux prescriptions chez les sujets de <40 ans
