Etat de préparation des médecins du département de la Moselle face au risque d'attentat chimique

Abstract : Due to industrialization and the risk of bombing and attacks, chemical risk is now part of everyday life. Thanks to a questionnaire, we studied the ability of general practitioners, French armed forces doctors, fire brigades and hospitals to cope with chemical attacks involving an amount of contaminated and infected victims in excess of the available assistance. This study shows that French doctors do not know the French doctrine very well, and are badly prepared to cope with a chemical event. The chemical training courses have a low impact on improving the doctors' level of preparation. Therefore, we suggest simplifying the French chemical doctrine, so that everyone can more easily apply it.
