Gestion des transferts interhospitaliers médicalisés par voie terrestre: quel matériel emporter

Abstract : Interhospital transport with medical care is often required for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Patients, which are concerned, are those with an obvious or a potential health distress and those with a compromise health prognostic. The transport by ground is an operation with a high risk and can give rise to manycomplications as it has been reported in the literature and observed from a study carried out by the SMUR of EPINAL. The use of inadequate materials was involved and often was responsible for a breakdown in the continuity of medical care and monitoring of the patients. A national study performed in 2003 gave an overview of the materials that was available in the different SMUR units for interhospital transport. It was deficient in most cases and did notfully agree with the recommendations made by SFAR. Moreover, there was a need to complete them in view of the technico-medical progress. In the present work, proposals are made on the materials in order to improve the technicomedical assistance to patients during their interhospital transport with medical care.
