Evaluation gérontologique par l'équipe mobile de liaison gériatrique au service des urgences du CHU de Nancy: intérêts, critères de sélection, impact sur le suivi

Abstract : The improvement of the conditions of life and advance in medecine have modified the french population pyramid and improved the life expectency.Nonetheless, by living longer senior perçons have an accnied risk of morbidity andpolypathologie . Aiid the number of senior citizens admitted to the emergency room keeps on increasing. In order to improve the geriatrics branch, the 2002 and 2007 notes of the ministry of niedecine have defines the missions of the mobile teams for geriactrics liaison (EMLG). At the Nancy CHU the mobile team of geriatrics liaison is innvolved in the hospitalization services and emergency room services. The scope of our study is the activity of the emergency room EMLG.Our first objective was to determine the medico-psycho-social profile of patients evaluated during a 14 days period.Our second objective was to compare the typology and the outcome of these patients comparatively to those of patients taken care of by emergency room only.This study don't conclude that the intervention of EMLG has a benefic effect on the followup at 1, 3 and 6 month probably because of the too small population. On the other hand somes litterature's studies explain the benefict brought by EMLG at the emergency room.
