Bilan d'activité de la coordination du CHU de Nancy sur la Maladie Thromboembolique Veineuse: évaluation de la période d'avril 2002 à avril 2005

Abstract : Venous komboembolism is a fiequent disease, especially elderly patients, and potentially serious because of the risk of fatal pulmonary embolism. It is a multicausal disease in which genetic and acquired risk factors interact dynmically according to a time-dependent model. There are several available recommendations on how to treat this disease that are modified according to the constant evolution of the knowledge and therapeutic discoveries. However complex clinical situations are fiequent and show the interest of mdtidisciplinary coordination of the CHU of Nancy on venous tlhromboembolism and diEcult antitlhrombotic therapy. The assessrnent of the first three year of coordination shows that a great number of files and complex questions were exmined. This coordination must change in its operating mode and be integrated in a healthcare network in order to play a role in a field which could represent a growing problem with the ageing of the population.
