Expérience d’analyse des pratiques professionnelles en orthophonie : réunion d’un Groupe de Pairs sur le thème de la prise en charge de patients associant troubles dyslexiques et TDAH

Abstract : The Analysis of Professional Practices is tool of in-service training very used in certain medical or paramedical professions (especially doctors and nurses). The question arises of its use in speech and language therapy and of its usefulness in terms of skills development. We therefore wished to lead an experiment of Analysis of Professional Practices in speech-language therapy, under the format of Group of Peers. A group of four speech therapists of Lorraine was thus combined in March 2015. This research work leans on the exchanges of the group from the statement of clinical cases dealing with the theme of patients combining dyslexic and ADHD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) disorders. For participants, the study theme was support for a reflection on their know-how and, more broadly, on their practices. A few weeks after the holding of the Group of Peers, speech-language therapists were surveyed by questionnaire to assess the effects of the meeting and ensure that implementing practices remotely enables the development of skills and awareness of know-how. The results of this experiment suggest that the Analysis of Professional Practices may be more widely invested by speech-language pathologists. However, it seems necessary to provide a larger-scale APP experience to check. The adoption of a reflexive posture through the APP opens a new dimension in speech therapy practice. The analysis of professional practices allows health professionals to take a critical look on their practices by comparing them to those of their peers and to science data. Thedevelopment of such a method of training (posted by the HAS) could thus allow speech-language therapists to break out of the isolation of their liberal practice.
