Contraception du post-partum : état des lieux des choix et des pratiques contraceptifs des femmes ayant accouché à la Maternité Régionale de Nancy

Abstract : For the main part of the population, contraceptive choices evolve over the life of women and depend on socioeconomic factors. Gaps exist regarding knowledges and there are difficulties with the use of oral contraception. We studied this case during the postpartum period. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Our study is observational single-center descriptive cross. It was conducted through distribution of questionnaires with a sample of 109 patients who gave birth at the Regional Maternity of Nancy only. RESULTS: We found that contraceptive choices have evolved a lot over time. These choices change according to socio-economic criteria, we also found that some people admitted a lack of knowledges concering the use of oral contraceptions and a need of more information will be better for users. DISCUSSION: The postpartum period is a fragile period for contraceptive coverage. Postnatal consultation is a privileged moment which for a big part allows to mitigate the use of no means of contraception
