Influence de la torréfaction sur l'énergie de broyage du bois

Abstract : I did my internship at CIRAD, International Cooperation Center for Agricultural Research for Development in the South of Montpellier. My objective was to quantify and compare energy grinding of raw wood and wood torrefied in the laboratory and pilot scale. This purpose a pilot pyrolysis of biomass has been adapted and developed for torrefaction and to get wood roasted in large quantities. The operations performed on the grinding of wood in the laboratory we have observed changes in size depending on the degree of torrefaction of the biomass. The quantization of energy was made with gross weights allowing important to compare directly the energy consumed by the grinding of raw wood and wood torrefied. Torrefaction flash showed convincing results even if several parameters to be defined. This new technique has several advantages such as torrefaction a reduced residence time and thus, for the same flow of wood, a small process with respect to traditional torrefaction process.
