Identification, état de conservation et préconisations de gestion des habitats naturels en basse vallée de la Somme, dans le cadre d'un Document d'Objectifs

Abstract : Situated in the heart of the plateau and consisted of a set of alkaline peaty swamps, the valley of the Somme contains varied, rich but threatened natural housing environments. They represent around 20 000 hectares of an exceptional heritage. Thus France integrated this huge wet area into the network Natura 2000. To define the appropriate modalities of management to the species and housing environments listed on this site, Documents of Objectives (DOCOB) are realized. It's in this context that the Association of Development and Planning of the basin of the Somme has been appointed as operator to elaborate the DOCOB of four sites Natura 2000. Having no skills to elaborate the diagnosis and the map-making of the natural housing environments, the species and the housing environments of these species as the directives "Birds" and "Housing environments", AMEVA appointed the research department firm Ecotheme. The site Natura 2000 is divided into a Special Protection Area (SPA) and three Special Areas of Preservation (SAP) of which that of the "Low valley of the Somme of Pont-Rémy to Breilly ". The present study is targeted at 80 hectares of this SAP. The purpose is to identify the various units of vegetation by the realization of field inventories, and with the support of the guide to habitats of housing environments Natura 2000 and of the National Botanical Academy of Bailleul. Housing environments are then mapped and studied; their state of preservation is evaluated, and measures of management are proposed if necessary.
