Analyse des stratégies de pérennisation financière d’une innovation en santé : le cas de Djantoli

Abstract : Very few research work has been focused on providing practitioners with tools and guidance for preparing for the financial sustainability of their interventions although this is seen by all as a critical issue. The question appears all the more complex when it comes to innovations in the healthcare sector as they often use intervention models that challenge traditional practice and undertake missions that fall under public service, which are, by nature, difficult to fund in the long run in low-resource countries. Exploring strategies to sustain financially the community health service designed by NGO Djantoli allows to highlight the delicate balance that one needs to find between the quest for financial autonomy and equity when designing interventions, the multidimensional and often unpredictable dynamics of sustainability as well as the key role of advocacy to facilitate institutionalization of innovative practices into healthcare systems.
