Etude par radiopistage des capacités de survie et de reproduction du faisan commun sauvage (Phiasianus colchicus)

Abstract : The common pheasant (Phasianus colchicus) is part of French heritage for over 500 years. But it is mainly released during the hunting season (8 to 10 million birds). Pheasant is punctually encounter in the wild in France with significant management efforts and reintroduction populations. Indeed, it is found in many cultivated plains but at varying densities. The CNERA Small sedentary fauna plain of the National Office for Hunting and Wildlife wondered about the reasons for these variations, sometimes within a similar landscape with similar management efforts. So, a telemetric monitoring was implemented in three departments (Oise, Eure, Eure et Loir). The telemetric monitoring could highlight the causes and extent of mortality of pheasant. Give a more precise idea on the fate of nests and nesting sites, and know the habitat preferences according to the availability offered by the medium.
