Analyse QTL de la ramification du chêne pédonculé, observée par tomographie à rayon X

Abstract : In this study, an analysis of Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) was undertaken based on a genetic map with 686 markers and 179 sample individuals of Quercus robur, produced by an intra-specific crossing. Quantitative data were measured by interpreting scanned images, obtained by X-ray tomography. 38 QTLs were detected with an explained variation of 4% to 11.7% on 16 of the 24 chromosomes. These QTLs corresponded to: 1) the numbers of suppressed buds, epicormic shoots and sequential branches; 2) the volume of trunk and branch knots; 3) the presence of forks. This study evidenced a strong genetic effect on the production and the bud break of primary buds; the environmental effect is much more considerable for secondary buds. The importance of a genetic determinism for the epicormic shoots was confirmed. Few QTLs related to architecture were found. More individuals or more repetitions may probably allow their detection.
