Connaissance, protection et valorisation du massif forestier de Meine, Espace Naturel Sensible

Abstract : The aim of this work was to emphasize as good as possible a protected area classified sensitive natural area, the Meine Forest by the general council of Meurthe-et-Moselle. This area is a priority site and must be an emblematic site of the CG 54. Its creation began with a collection of precise data (fauna, flora, geology...). To do a good valuation, a sorting and a ranking of these data to highlight the characteristics of the site was a need. The result is a theoretical trail, which allow people to enjoy the Meine Forest while learning its geological creation, its fauna and flora interests and the role it played to protect the human beings for more than a thousand years. This trail and its futures furniture will be respectful of the site. The furniture of the trail will be ecological and dematerialized furniture is envisaged. The forest management will be conceived with the National Forestry of France and won't be any more based on wood production, but mainly on the biodiversity protection.
