Introduction de l’écoute musicale dans la prise en charge orthophonique de la personne ayant présenté un AVC

Abstract : During the past few years, screens have widely invaded our everyday life. So, it became current practice for a large number of children to spare it a considerable time in a premature way. However, this way of using screens is far from being harmless. The multiple consequences which they engender in child’s development were demonstrated in numerous studies. It was indeed proved that language, reasoning, attention, sleep and many other fields can be affected. Consequently, it is essential for a good child’s development to make families aware of these risks and to help them to set up an appropriate use of screens through actions of prevention. Therefore we wished to analyze the impact on families of actions of prevention about screens made by the speech therapists during an individual session on one hand and during a collective intervention on the other hand, to determine if one of the two modalities is more effective. Two questionnaires were filled in by the participating parents, one before the action of prevention, the other three weeks later. They aimed to highlight changes concerning the children’s habits of using screens as well as an improvement of the knowledge of the risks after the intervention. The comparison of questionnaires pre- and post-intervention of each family highlighted a prior consciousness of the harmful nature of screens, which was improved then thanks to the information communicated by the speech therapists for a great majority of the participants. It also revealed that a great part of the families set up changes in their children’s habits of using screens. On this last point, the collective intervention seems to have been the most effective.
