Performances des médias pour la filtration des nanoparticules métalliques

Abstract : Filtration of metallic nanoparticles by different filter media was investigated using flat filters. The filters used are among the media recommended for the industrial filtration of metallurgical dusts generated by processes such as metal cutting, arc welding and thermal spraying. The pressure drop evolution, the initial collection efficiency and the regeneration efficiency were measured. The aim is to select the best filter for the filtration of metallic ultrafine particles. The media used have different surface treatments: polyethylene membrane or nanofibre layer. Results show a rapid evolution of the pressure drop and an inefficient cleaning of the filter media. The removed cake mass after cleaning does not exceed 15%
