Relectures du tournant Ingo Schulze, Uwe Tellkamp et Julia Schoch

Abstract : This article proposes to reread three novels written by authors from the former GDR that evoke the transition : Adam und Evelyn by Ingo Schulze, Der Turm by Uwe Tellkamp and Mit der Geschwindigkeit des Sommers by Julia Schoch. We propose to demonstrate that the opposition between myth and fairy tale, as it is used by Franz Fuhmann in his writings on aesthetics but also by Adorno and Horkheimer in the works they have devoted to cultural history, underlies these novels as well. This approach offers us a new perspective on the place of these novels in the history of the German and of the European novel.
