Magnetization Strategy for a FeCrCo-based Variable Flux Machine

Résumé

The features of a Variable Flux Machines (VFM) composed by a solid cylindrical rotor based on FeCrCo will be explored in this paper. A comprehension of the controllable magnetization state of these machines is exposed. Element finite analysis and experimental tests are proposed to analyze a magnetization strategy for two different levels of d-axis current. Additionally, the armature reaction and its effects in the machine operation is discussed.
