A New Hybrid Method of MPPT for Photovoltaic Systems Based on FLC and Three Point-Weight Methods

Abstract : In this paper, a hybrid method is proposed for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of solar photovoltaic system. This method combines three point-weight and Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) methods. First, the direction of change in the voltage or no change compared to the state before is determined based on three point-weight method. Then a change in the voltage magnitude is done based on FLC. Three point-weight, FLC and hybrid algorithms are simulated in Matlab software for comparison of their performance. The mean square error is used for a better comparison.
