Etablissement de modèles métaboliques de Desulfovibrio vulgaris et de Clostridium acetobutylicum

Abstract : The use of bio-hydrogen in the French energy mix is one of the solutions to increase the share of renewable energy in this mix. The EPIC-H2 project, which involveseveral laboratories, studies the production of hydrogen by a bacterial community composed of Desulfovibrio vulgaris and Clostridium acetobutylicum. This study is carried out using several approaches, especially by modeling and simulating the metabolic interactions between the two bacteria. This work constituted the first step of this project. Its goal was to identify and to validate some metabolic models of each of these bacteria. Two models for D. vulgaris (Zomorrodi et al, 2012; Flowers et al, 2018) have been studied, modified and compared to experimental data. For C. acetobutylicum, a model (Dash et al, 2016) was found in the literature, but further studies are needed to validate it.
