Contribution à la modélisation de l'interaction agent / environnement : modélisation stochastique et simulation parallèle

Abstract : This thesis belongs at the same time to the multi-agent system (MAS) and parallelism domains, and more precisely to the parallel simulation of MAS. Two problems are tackled : First one concerns the modeling and simulation of situated agents, together with the unreliability of their sensors and effectors, in order to perform simulations which results will be more realistic. The second problem relates to the exploitation of the inherent parallelism of multi-agent systems, in order to obtain good parallel performances, by reducing the execution time and/or processing problems of bigger sizes. Two models are proposed: a formal model of multi-agent systems, including a stochastic model of the agent/environment interaction, and a parallel simulation model for multi-agent systems based on the distribution of the conflicts occurring between the agents, and on a dynamic load balancing mechanism between the processors. The satisfactory results we have obtained are presented.
