Etude comparative fréquentielle de l'ablation intracardiaque : Modélisation et caractérisation de sondes d'ablation cardiaque micro-ondes

Abstract : This study presents a comparison of frequency available for cardiac ablation in the high frequency domain. The first part of this thesis treats about problems met in cardiac ablation and about the theoretical approach of power deposition calculus. Methods based on King and Casey are used to solve the electromagnetic problem and the finite difference method is used to calculate tissue temperature and ablation depth. Results show almost no difference between frequency in term of penetration depth. In the second part, these results are confirmed with a practical approach and antennas working at 2.45 GHz are developed. These antennas destine to treat atrial fibrillation present different geometry and all of them are compared to determine design trade-off.
