Etude des interactions entre une bactérie auxiliaire de la mycorhization et un champignon ectomycorhizien

Abstract : The mycorrhiza helper bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens BBc6R8 promotes mycorrhizal establishment between Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) and the ectomycorrhizal fungus L. bicolor strain S238N. Our work was focused on the bacterium-fungus interactions. The bacterium-fungus interactions seems to be early, at the inoculation time. The bacterium promotes fungal vigour and/or growth in the soil when the fungus is under non-favourable conditions of growth. Besides, it changes the hyphae architecture in in vitro conditions. In return, the fungus improves the survival and/or growth of the bacterium in the soil. The bacterium shows chemotaxis towards trehalose, a compound accumulated in the L. bicolor S238N hyphae, which is also metabolized by the bacterium. The bacterium do not seem to be localised in the vicinity of the fungus in the soil at later time.
