Etude expérimentale de l'hydrolyse en solution aqueuse des ions uranyle (VI) en présence d'électrolytes non complexants par spectroscopies de vibration à 25°C, 0,1 MPa

Abstract : A systematic experimental study of identification and characterization of uranyl(VI) hydrolyzed species has been carried out as a function of uranium (VI) concentration (0.0038 - 0.647 M) and the nature of solvent (H2O and D2O), in a wide and continuous -log mH+ range (0,24 - 14,96) using three spectroscopic techniques : Raman, FTIR ATR, and UV-visible at 25?C and 0.1 MPa. Spectral results obtained have allowed to determine physicochemical characteristics (chemical composition, stability field, hydrolysis quotient (log Q)) of eight aqueous uranyl(VI) hydroxydes of the type [(UO2)m(OH)n](2m-n).pH2O (m = 1 - 3; n = 1 - 11; p = 0 - 6) as well as wavenumbers of its two symmetric and antisymmetric stretching modes. These values were used as data base to calculate U=O bond force constants, interatomic distances between U and O atoms as well as bond orders of O=U=O group of uranyl(VI) hydrolyzed species. Calculated U=O interatomic distances are in good agreement with those obtained by EXAFS measurements for some uranyl(VI) complexes.
