L'inflammation, mécanisme déterminant de la survenue de la resténose après pose d'une endoprothèse coronaire

Abstract : The aim of this study was to evidence the influence of inflammatory mechanisms in the occurrence of restenosis after stent implantation. Firstly, the relationship between biological inflammatory markers (C-reactive protein levels and positive test for Chlamydia pneumoniae chronic infection) is described. Secondly, the deleterious prognostic role of an inflammatory form of coronary artery disease (unstable angina) is evidenced, particularty on the increase of the target lesion revascularization rate (clinical surrogate of restenosis). Thereafter, the main data about the relation between inflammation and restenosis are discussed.
