Etude d'un procédé de fabrication de pièces en composite verre-époxyde réticulées par haute fréquence

Abstract : This works deals with the study of an installation which makes the reticulation of epoxy glass composit pieces by high frequency heating, for automobile manufacturers. The instrumentation of the installation of composite pieces moulding process allows to get reliable measurements of the complex pennittivity of the material, the power absorbed by the material, the electromagnetic field and the temperature ofthe piece in different parts. The developped model of the reticualtion process is based on a knowlegde model. The values of the model parameters are choosen so that the predictive temperature is very close to the measured temperature. The cinetical thermical and dielectrical parameters have physical meanings, which are further compared to the main known information about the material. The pieces to be made are put in a coaxial applicator, between the tray of a press. It's proved that the voltage profile can be ajusted to compensate the variation of the piece thickness if the propagation of the length wave can be correctly chosen, and also that the impedances are well positioned right along the cell, at well defined places depending on the profile and if a pure TEM profile of the electromagnetic field can be performed in the applicator by a 4 points alimentation. An electrical equivalent scheme to the real applicator was built and validated ; that allows the conception of the generator connexion to the applicator. Then, it was proved that the direct measurements of the electromagnetic field with an antenna inserted in an applicator is not reliable and that should therefore be carefully interpreted.
