Contribution à l'étude des machines frigorifiques à adsorption-compression

Abstract : This thesis concerned the operation of an activated carbon AC35/methanol adsorption - compression refrigerating machine. The theoretical study was related to the thermodynamic modeling by approaching TTF, the optimization method can be used to study the influence of compression on the machines's operation and design the operational criteria of the system's performance. The modeling of heat and mass transfer was based on the equation of energy and mass conservation in the porous media, the mass transport modeling was genetared from the Darcy's law combined with the LDF model of adsorption and the phenomenologic equation of Dubinin Radushkevich. This derived model was employed to predict the evolution of the recycled refrigerant's mass fraction in the machine. In addition, the internal fins of the generator were designed by using the structural optimization method. This method can provide the dimensional criteria practise for the configuration, the provision and the dimension of the fins. It resulted in the efficient improvement of the heat trasfer conduction in generator. Moreover, the experimental study involving the design and development of an existing prototype of the single effect activated carbon AC35/methanol adsorption machine was conduced. The experimental results of the prototype is compared to the results of numerical modeling
