Etude structurale et thermodynamique de la complexation de lanthanides (III) par des acides carboxyliques polyhydroxylés : synthèse de nouveaux extractants et perspectives pour l'extraction de ces cations

Abstract : The aim of this work is : to improve the knowedge on the binding sites of the polyhydroxylated carboxylic acids with the trivalent lanthanide(III) ions by comparing them to gluconic acid (previously studied) and to molecules with different configuration and with a variable number of OH functions (threonic acid , glyceric acid, 2-hydroxybutanoic acid, 3-hydroxybutanoic acid). To find the best complexant among different acids (aldonic acids, aldaric acids, dihydroxybenzoic acids) (determination of the set of complexes and their stability constants by potentiometry, NMR and UV-Visible spectroscopy). To synthesize hydrophobic monoamides from one lactone form of saccharic acid, to study their complexing power and their capacity to extract the trivalent lanthanide(III) ions.
