Abstract : A method for the obtention of mycorrhizas under axenic conditions was used. The enzymes of carbohydrate catabolism were examined on the fungus Amanita muscaria , on the roots of spruce and on the association. In the mycorrhizas, the pentose phosphate pathway played a greater role than in the roots whereas the glycolysis pathway decreased. The pools of adenine and pyridine nucleotides were also measured. The presence of the fungal partner highly modified the concentrations found in the roots thus improving the transports of metabolites between the two partners. The impacts of water stress and ozone were studied on roots and on mycorrhizas of three clones of spruce trees. The capacities of enzymes of the carbohydrate metabolism were dçeply modified. These changes induced a disturbance between shoots and roots possibly leading to an early senescence of trees.
