Étude de la filtration des aérosols liquides et de mélanges d'aérosols liquides et solides

Abstract : The aim of this study is a better comprehension of the phenomena and mechanisms encountered in liquid aerosol filtration and the filtration of mixtures of liquid and solid aerosols in order to improve indoor air quality in the mechanical industries amongst others. The pressure drop and efficiency are the main characteristics studied. The 1 sI chapter presents the material and methods used in this study. The 2nd chapter deals with initial efficiency testing and modelling as weIl as the corresponding literature. The 3rd chapter presents the literature and experiments concerning dynamic liquid aerosol filtration: pressure drop and penetration evolution, the influence of an aerosol generation interruption on the filter pressure drop as weIl as a phenomenological model describing the pressure drop and penetration of a filter throghout the filtration process. The 4th chapter deals with the filtration of liquid and solid aerosol mixtures. A conclusion and perspectives of future work are presented.
