Influence de facteurs abiotiques, la photopériode et l'intensité lumineuse, sur la survie et la croissance de larves, post-larves et juvéniles de perche commune Perca fluviatilis

Abstract : The influence of daylength and light intensity on Eurasian perch larvae, post-larvae and juveniles has been investigated. Experiments were conducted in a recirculation system at 21 - 23°C. Prey detection and capture efficiency were enhanced under continuous light and a high level of illumination (400 lx), al1owing higher survival and growth (respectively 57.6 % and 23.8 %.day-1 without impeding development. During the weaning stage, survival and growth did not vary among tested daylengths but a better growth was reached under dim light (5 lx; 10.4 %.day-1). Cannibalism could also be reduced by suppressing day / night alternations. During the ongrowing of juveniles, perch were fed '.on demand' an extruded diet. Satisfactory fish husbandry data were recorded, with survival reaching 80 - 1 00 %, specific growth rates between 1.4 and 1.8 %.j-1 and feeding efficiency up to 1.1. These data were not significantly affected by light intensity. Increasing daylength allowed to inhibit gonad development, improve growth without increasing N and P wastes....However, a continuous lighting impaired survival with high social interactions and aggressiveness. Day / Night alternations were found to be the main zeitgeber of feeding activity, with most of feed supply during the first half an pour following illumination under a LD 18 : 6. Influences of environmental factors and feeding rhythms on growth, size heterogeneity and body composition were discussed with a particular focus on sexual growth dimorphism in perch.
