Evaluation de la durée de vie en fatigue par la méthode volumétrique pour des joints soudés par point

Abstract : aThe tensile-shear hot spot welded joints are used in the automotive industries subjected to the cyclic actions. The intrinsic characteristic of actions changes the analysis. The initiation crack is located in the base metal and heat affected zone due to high and low loading values, respectively. The tensile-shear hot spot welded joints with one, three and five spot welds are chosen to find fatigue life based on volumetric approach for both high cycle fatigue and low cycle fatigue cases. To apply the volumetric approach, effective stress, effective distance, fatigue strength reduction factor are extracted via three dimensional elastic-plastic finite element analyses including sub-modeling technique application and relative stress gradient evolution near spot welds. The obteinad results based on volumetric approach and fatigue experimental results have very good and good accuracy for high and low cycle fatigue, respectively
