Caractérisations thermodynamique et structurale de mélanges multiparaffiniques synthétiques et réels : étude de leur cristallisation dans la tétradécane

Abstract : Thermodynamic calculations of paraffinic crude oil crystallization are based on equations of phase equilibria. Their capacity to fit and predict experirnental data depends on the choice of the best model for each phase. The true nature of the solid phase is not known : n-alkanes (Cn) are assurned to crystallize either as a single solid solution or successively, as pure components. To understand the behaviour of multicomponent paraffmic system, a good knowledge of the structural and thermodynamic behaviours of pure alkanes and of their model mixtures is needed. They are reviewed in the first part of this work, and new correlations are established between crystallographic parameters and carbon atom number from litterature data.
