La pratique et les réseaux savants d'Albrecht von Haller (1708-1777), vecteur du transfert culturel entre les espaces français et germaniques au XVIIIème siècle

Abstract : The Bernese doctor Albrecht von Haller (1708-1777) is a central figure in the Germanic and Helvetian period of Enlightenment. Author of a multidisciplinary work, he attracts a vast amount of correspondents all over Europe. Consequently, we suggest to analyse his role as a privileged mediator in the transfer of scholar ideas between the French and Germanic spheres. Through exchanging books and doing a lot of recensions, Haller has a critical reading of the French intellectual scene's productions. He edits and comments his results in the Germanic world and in the whole of his epistolary network. The members of the French Haller network are also mediators of his views within the French enlightened circle: They select intellectual elements in his work which correspond to their own expectations and incorporate them in to their own writings in order to enrich them.
