Etude du codage et du classement de pièces mécaniques en technologie de groupe

Abstract : In most of the group technology apllications, we are concerned with two variables sub-sets to represent a product. For instance in Process-Planing Department application, E2 will be the code variable sub-set of the parts while E1 will be the corresponding process-planing variable sub-set. During the implementation step we are looking for homogeneous process-plannfamilies on E1, while on the user step we want to rank a new part only know by its code variables E2, to a family. So, there is no reason that code families are homogeneous. Also, the classic ranking methods are not very efficacious. We propose a mixed method to recognize homogeneous zone by geometric method and heterogeneous zone by knn procedure. The algorithm is decomposed into levels : given the families on the first level, we cluster the system states in m homogenous regions and a heterogeneous fuggy zone. This computation is done once at the implementation ; on the second level we try first to rank the new state in the homogeneous regions. If not, weapply the knn procedure on a window of the fuggy zone. Two industrial examples show the efficiency of the algorithm
